The team goes off-site for team building. There are go-karts, bumper boats, and laser tag! We meet a new character, and one conflict is resolved. Thanks to Jim Van Verth for the sound FX, and Glen Tingle for the cameo!
The election results are in, and I’m terrified. North Carolina has been changing politically, and it’s a wonderful thing. But I have to voice my opinion and speak out. And I don’t care if someone calls me a bigot.
NC has re-elected a zombie to the US House of Representatives.
Howard Coble (R) has been serving the sixth district of NC since 1885. He is born and raised and educated in NC. And he is a zombie.
And I’m sorry if it shows my bigotry, because I do lampoon people who are prejudiced against the undead in my audio drama, The Takeover, but in reality, zombies are not fit to hold office. And another election cycle has passed and we again vote zombie.
I weep for the future.
Zombies prefer The Day of the Dead over Halloween, you know. It’s called The Day of the Dead, for cryin out loud. And I didn’t get a chance to post yesterday.
Sorry I didn’t get a chance to get the Halloween episode of The Takeover up before Halloween, but the Simpsons have been running their special episodes after the holiday for years and no one stops them. The cast has the scripts for the next two episodes and I should put them together next week.
So as I mentioned, last year I worked for Lulu.TV and we made some fun short films, one of them being about zombies that inspired The Takeover. Lulu.TV laid us off in December of last year, and today they officially are turning off their servers. I was making sure I had all the videos I was involved in, and I grabbed Zombies in the Workplace. So I uploaded it to YouTube and I have it here, just for you.
I’m working on episode 8 of The Takeover, but in the meantime, a friend sent me a writeup he did of The Takeover. Hi there! Sorry for the long delay in The Takeover! If you haven’t been following me on my home page, I should apologize to you. My book, Playing For Keeps came out to a firestorm of attention, and then I signed with an agent who wanted my next novel rewritten, so that took a good deal of my creative time. Or, rather, all of it.
But Episode 7 is nearly done! Look for it in your podcatcher tomorrow or Wednesday! Thanks so much for your patience!
